We advise on the asset management and business development of factory outlet centres, garden centres and specialist leisure retail destinations. The objective is to grow footfall and sales of a business by developing the tenant mix to best serve the catchment profile.
We apply asset management input alongside our leasing work for factory outlets, garden centres and specialist leisure retail destinations, to develop the optimum tenant mix, rental income stream and ultimately asset value.
Our research based approach, monitoring market trends, growth hot spots and retail innovation, enables us to match evolving customer expectations with the retail offer and to advise on future direction and strategy for retail assets. Depending on the space and land available, destinations can include entertainment and education, sport, outdoor activities and strong specialist food retail and catering elements. Environmental and ecological themes can also be included.
We have worked on themes including children’s play, farm shops, outdoor and water based sport, heritage and wildlife visitor attractions in settings of up to several hundred acres.
We advise on how to achieve the most commercial occupational mix, working with clients on existing planning consents and negotiating new consents. We have worked on a wide range of built environments, bringing new life into heritage and brown field sites, converting existing structures or new build.Destination schemes can act as regeneration catalysts, providing a regional flagship, employment, a show case for regional manufacturing, often without challenging existing retail environments.
